A Design of buddy Register System for Multithread

Abstract
Multithreaded computers have to switch register files to memory when they make context-switching time be minimized. and register windows can be applied to tree structure. This register file size is very big and complex to manage. Register file access time is limited to the size of register file in proportional to a square root. General register structure is used for a scheme of fixed size windows and that of variable size windows. In fixed size windows scheme, this scheme is wasteful and file size grows big because of the constancy in size. and it has a fault to take a long time in accessing register file.
Another scheme, variable size windows scheme takes a long time to access register file. Register allocation algorithm is also complex and it has a fault to take a long time in allocating register file. This paper designed buddy register system which selects and allocate windows as a frame size. While we apply the buddy register system which designed in this study if a processing frame number is plentiful, we hope for saving a time to allocate and extra register file size.
